[Release Day & Giveaway] A Tragic Wreck ~ T.K. Leigh

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 18 AND UP DUE TO STRONG LANGUAGE, EXPLICIT SEXUAL SITUATIONS, AND MILD VIOLENCE.

How can you continue living when you’re living a lie? How can you convince your body to stop feeling, your soul to stop caring, and your heart to stop beating?

Haunted by her past, Olivia Adler flees Boston for a beach in Florida, leaving everyone behind, trying to shut the world out. Remaining a relative recluse in her self-imposed prison, she tries to turn everything off, wanting to feel nothing. But a new acquaintance won’t let that happen. After being away from Alexander for a month, his voice constantly ringing in her head, reminding her that her inability to confront her demons will not only destroy her, but also him, can she really be expected to want to feel again when it brings nothing but pain?

Back in Boston, everywhere he turns, Alexander Burnham is reminded of Olivia… His Olivia… He tries to dull the ache left in his heart the only way he knows how… in the bed of a beautiful woman. But Alexander isn’t about to lose his Olivia. After a clue comes to light regarding Olivia’s whereabouts, can he convince her to return to Boston with him? When a force that has laid dormant for months resurfaces, can Alexander still protect her from the unknown danger? And when Alexander comes face to face with a shadow of both his and Olivia’s past, will he be able to tell her the secret that is threatening to tear them apart?

"A Tragic Wreck" is the continuation of T.K. Leigh’s heartbreaking "Beautiful Mess" series.

Excerpt
“You feel my cock inside you?” I asked slamming into her so hard the top of her head hit the arm rest.

“Yes,” she moaned drawing out the s.

“I want you to feel me for days.” I pulled her hair back, causing her eyes to look right into mine. “I want you to remember my cock inside you forever. You’ll never get cock as good or anyone who will fuck you as hard and long like I do.”

I pumped faster, faster than I thought I had in me. I was propelled by anger and vengeance at this point. It would be the last time I’d have my wife. “I want your pussy swollen, and you to only think of me.”

“Fucker,” she screamed as I slammed into her pussy one last time before pulling out and spilling onto her back. She didn’t deserve to have my come inside her, and I didn’t need the possibility of a surprise pregnancy either. I watched as it slid down her skin while I climbed off the couch.

Her body swayed back and forth as she tried to climb off the couch. “Thanks for the pussy, babe.” I pulled on my pants as she stood glaring at me.

“You hurt me, bastard.” She touched herself and winced.

“I didn’t hear you tell me to stop.” I buttoned my jeans and grabbed my shirt off the floor, pulling it over my head.“I hate you.” She stood there naked looking like a lost puppy. She was torn; I could
see it in her eyes. There was hatred there, certainly no love, but I fucked her so
good that the lust still burned in her eyes.

“Feeling's mutual.” I opened the front door, and I could hear her screaming as I shut it behind me. I walked out of Danielle’s life that day.

Untangle Me

Kayden is a bad boy that never played by the rules. Sophia has always been the
quintessential good girl, living a life filled with disappointment. Everything changes
when their lives become intertwined through a chance encounter online.

Hundreds of miles separate them, but the connection that draws them together is
too much to be denied. As the layers of their lives peel back, Kayden keeps the
dangerous parts of his past hidden to protect the woman who is becoming more
important to him than he should allow. What starts as a pursuit of carnal pleasure
turns into a complicated love story. His past is a tangled web filled with addiction,
an obsessed ex-girlfriend, and problems with the law.

One mistake he thought he had left behind may end up ruining it all.

Excerpt:

Since the New Year, my headaches have reached new levels of pain. They were far from lovely before, but if given a choice, I would return in an instant.

My forgetful ways have increased, too, each day bringing blank patches scattered throughout. Yesterday afternoon, I bought a new stick of deodorant, having forgotten I already did so earlier that morning. Two days ago, I emailed my mother twice, both messages practically the same. And on New Year's Eve, I bought Danii a single flower on three separate occasions: her smiling nicelysomewhat pitifullyeach time. Small, silly little moments, but I miss them... mourn them. I keep trailing off, too, and repeating sentences.

Ethan pretends not to notice, his replies instant and smooth, although I've caught myself a few times with him; Danii smiles and nibbles her lip, her twitching nose a sign she's worried... petrified, even; whereas Wil has to hold back his excitement, catching my faux pas and hesitating empty words.

I don't know, but I assume Ethan's spoken to him. Wil's like a curious young child seeing a black person for the first time and wondering why their skin is different to their own. He isn't nasty with it, merely at the mercy to his intrigue and unfiltered list of questions. I'm glad he holds back though. I catch some, but who knows how many forgotten seconds creep past my defences. I don't want them pointing out. Some things are better lived in blind bliss.

Still, as of yet there have been no more seizures, which, together with our recent nocturnal lifestyle, has kept the mood light. Arriving in Sydney two days before the New Year was wise, because arriving on the day itself would be a nightmare far greater than any one headache could conjure. We embraced Australia's multicultural capital like almost any other tourist would: walking the Harbour, boating across the perfect sea, and gazing at the Opera House, although I couldn't say how it looks on the inside.

In many ways, it's the same as any other city: expensive. But at this time of year, with the sun so bright and the mood so high, it's easy to look past the unfortunate cliches and focus instead on the complexities of this cultural haven. That is, until mid-afternoon on New Year's Eve.

From the moment I first saw the famous Harbour blossom with every colour imaginable, as a thirteen-year-old boy bringing in the New Year with my parents in front of the TV, it's been a dream to spend the final seconds of one year, and the first few of the next, in the shadows of the bridge and Opera House. Bouncing and eager, I insisted we arrive early and scout an ideal location for our blanket.

At ten in the morning, it was quiet, just a few other groups mulling. Sharing sandwiches and boxed wine, we mingled with these fellow early morning soldiers, each can of lager growing warmer and more disgusting by the hour. By midday it was busier, but still our blanket held strong. At three, the grassy area was awash with sunlight, the spirit growing louder, more energetic, and we lost our early morning soldiers, but this was fine because others took their place.

By six, we stood, our blanket scrunched in the middle, as rowdy strangers bumbled over it.

At eight, the blanket was gone, and so was Wil. Danii clung to my hand, as Ethan stood on the other side of her.

By ten, a sea of strangers surrounded us, shoulder-to-shoulder. "I didn't think it would get this busy," Danii said, her nails digging into my fingers. I nodded, and turned to Ethan, but he, too, was now gone.

As midnight approached, excitement and anticipation were replaced with dread and a claustrophobic worry. "Sorry, mate," said a drunk Australian, stamping on my foot. "You got any beer?" asked an even drunker cockney, leaning in and filling my nostrils with an unbearable stench. "Happy New Year," blurted a short brunette, the drunkest of them all, grabbing Danii and I simultaneously, and kissing us both.

Laughing and doing our best to shrug off our surroundings, we remained clamped together, and with twenty minutes to spare, Ethan found his way back after a rather a long wait in the bathroom line. Tick, tock, tick, tock went the minutes, bringing the year's end closer. "I don't understand how everyone is so drunk," said Danii, a minute before midnight. "We haven't had a drink in hours. Where the hell are they finding it all?"

And then, in perfect Wilbur Day fashion, he stumbled into us, hugging us allDanii included.

"This. Is. Marvellous!" he spat.

"Where have you been?" I asked, but he shrugged it off and began counting down, as did everyone around us, and soon the sky was alight with every colour on the spectrum, and the sea of people, and tight conditions, and the headache that ate away at my temples... none of it mattered because I remembered watching it on TV nearly a decade earlier, and how I'd done so every year since; dreaming... wishing to be below the lit sky.

An engine roar of hope erupted from all directions as Auld Lang Syne was sung by the sea of multicultural synergy. Everyone seemed to sing but me. Instead, I stood still, mouth agape and in complete and utter awe. "This is amazing," I said to nobody but myself. But Danii heard. She squeezed my fingers and rested her head on my shoulder, and we both stood still, swarmed from all directions, but it didn't matter. It was a perfect moment that ticked and tocked, closing one year and opening another, and soon the fireworks stopped, and the singing ceased, and the crowd took us with them, and we were walking along the Sydney streets, and I was talking and laughing and celebrating with my friends and with people I didn't know, but it's all a haze, only, not because of a stolen memory on this occasion; rather, I was still standing at the Harbour, looking up towards the fiery sky at the second midnight landed, agape and in awe and at the mercy of its beauty.

Excerpt:

Without thinking, Liliana grabbed Tyler's pillow and swung her legs over the side of the bed, bringing her feet to rest on the rough, threadbare, motel carpet. Then, she silently made her way to the sofa and knelt on the floor. She lifted his arm and secured the pillow beneath it. With her hand still on his arm, she gave it a gentle squeeze and whispered, “Here ya go.”

“What’s this for?” he whispered back.

“Maybe I felt sorry for you.”

“Oh, so my trick worked? You bought my poor, poor, pitiful me story?”

“What?” Liliana snagged the pillow from under his arm and smacked it on his head. Then she turned toward her bed.

He laughed and then caught hold of her wrist to stop her. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. He tugged on her wrist to pull her down to the floor and then sat up on the sofa. He reached out for her other wrist and held both of her hands in his. The lighting was dim, but she could vaguely see that he had taken his shirt off. She could see the outline of his broad shoulders and muscular arms. His large hands held hers with a firm grip.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered again. “Everything I told you is true. Other than my brother, I have no family to speak of. And I swear I didn’t do anything wrong to get sent to military school.”

“Well, if you did something wrong, or not, it doesn’t matter to me.”

“It matters to me, that you believe me.”

“Why?”

“Because…I li—Because I’d like us to be friends.”

“I’d like us to be friends, too.” Liliana wondered what he had been going to say. Because I like you? She pushed the thought aside.

He squeezed her hands and then released them. “You’d better get some sleep.”

“You too.” She stood and said, “Sleep good…on the sofa.” She laughed softly and then hurried to crawl back under the warm blankets.

Sweet dreams, Tyler thought.

Same to you, she thought back. As she drifted off to sleep, visions of a shirtless Tyler, lying alone on the sofa, were the last images to float through her mind.

Laugh at divorced dad Austin Carr, a funny, oversexed scamp who'll do anything to get his kids back. Think Bugs Bunny with guns and a penis.

Divorced dad Austin Carr wakes up every day in a beat-up camper, parked on someone else’s private property. Why? Because his alimony and child support payments were established by New Jersey’s family court system when his income was double, and for the last two years he has failed to earn the legally mandated monthly nut. He’s had his savings drained, his Maxima repossessed, his salary attached, and his visiting rights suspended. He bought the twelve-year-old Chevy pick-up with the rusty camper for $800 last month because another landlord tossed his butt in the street. Will stretching the rules, his own morals, and the boundaries of common sense raise the cash needed to get his kids back? Or will his big mouth and bad behavior set him up for a nasty double-cross? See if Austin can redeem himself and win back his children.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Author PicI'm a thirty-two-year-old female author living in Seattle, Washington. I'm married to the love of my life and have been for ten years. I come from Coos Bay, Oregon and moved to Seattle six years ago. I love it here and don't see us going anywhere anytime soon.

I've been heavily influenced by contemporary writers like J.K. Rowling, Mary Balogh, Christina Dodd, Stephanie Laurens, Laurell K. Hamilton, Anne Rice, Stephen King, and many many others. Indie authors who've influenced me (and these are just a few) are Jasinda Wilder, Michelle Hughes, Kristin Flynn, Katie Mac, Dawn Robertson, Ada Slow, Melissa Brodky, Brandelyn Harris, Brandy Dorsch, and Brandy Jellum.

 Jasmine's Review

I have no idea how to start this review. I really liked this book I couldn't put it down at all! I read it in like 2 hours from cover to cover without stopping. Instead of doing homework... This is what I ended up doing. But it was sooo worth it!

Carmen a previous ballerina was abducted after one of her shows. Then ever since she has stopped talking. I personally really like Carmen, her hard exterior and soft interior. She is really tough but she cries more than an average person would.

Jacob feels like a really creepy doctor. He seems like a really good doctor at the start but throughout the course of the book it feels like he should be the patient instead. But he does admit he's emotionally broken so I'm cool. Jacob is a really great guy but when he's drunk he seems kind a sleazy (I'm not really sure what that word means but it feels like the right word.)

This book isn't just a romance book with an emotionally damaged girl but it's also a mystery or thriller (genres confuse me). And it was really exciting I didn't know who's who and it made me read more.

I do have ONE problem with this book. They're love came out of no where like they had sex then bam I LOVE YOU. The thing is it was only supposed to be like a one night stand but it seriously had no basis whatsoever. If this was improved it could have been a 5 star.

One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high priced legal shenanigans.
Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.

My name is McKayla Dawson but everyone calls me Mac. I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot.
But between you and me, I’m afraid my heart won’t survive these Legal Affairs.

How Writing A Serial Differs From Writing A Full-Length Novel
By Sawyer Bennett

I had no idea how to write a serial when I first started Legal Affairs. It takes some planning because you have an overall story line that will result in a resolution with an HEA. But the concept of a serial is to have each volume be its own story within a story. This took even more planning, resulting in charts, graphs and maybe even a Power Point presentation to make myself organized.

My chapters were shorter, thus it became a challenge to create plot points that were clear yet descriptive within a limited budget of words. I also didn’t want to miss out on steaming up the pages with some yummy sex scenes, so I had to budget those in as well.

Overall, this was a unique writing experience. It took more forethought to complete the story, which is different for me as I am a pretty organic writer. It was almost like piecing a puzzle together, but not knowing if I had all of the pieces before me.

I truly enjoyed this writing experience. It enabled me to try out a new concept in a unique fashion. I went out on a limb on this one but I think it turned out marvelously well. I truly hope you enjoy Legal Affairs!!!

Legal Affairs is a serial romance with a whole lot of hot and a little bit of funny. It has six volumes that will be released every two weeks, the first one, entitled Objection, on January 10, 2014. Each title is between 12,000-15,000 words with the last one close to 20,000 words.

Legal Affairs – Violation – releasing February 7, 2014
Legal Affairs – Mitigation – releasing February 21, 2014
Legal Affairs – Reparation – releasing March 7, 2014

Excerpt
James pushed himself against me and slammed my back against the door. I gripped his

belt with my left hand, and his ass with my right.

“Is your car unlocked?” I asked.

He set his hands against my hips, and kissed the bottom of my neck. “Yeah. What are you

waiting for?”

I reached for the door handle. Pressed my fingers against three different places.

“You need some help?” he asked, with a chuckle.

“No, no. I got it.”

My fingers touched what I thought was the handle. I tried to open it, but it wouldn’t

budge.

James kissed the edge of my shoulder, and took a step back. “Uhh, Sydney. That’s the

gas tank.”

I finally turned my head. I brought my hand to my mouth and laughed out loud. “Oh,

oops.”

“I think someone's had one too many tonight,” he said, with an exaggerated raise of his

eyebrow.

“Shut up. I didn't have that much.” And it was true. I’d only had mixed drinks. Four,

maybe five. I had a slight headache, but nothing to ruin the night over.

“Good,” James said. “I wouldn’t want to take advantage.”

“Yeah?”

I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer, deeper. I kissed his peppermint

lips, then dipped my tongue into his mouth, for one tantalizing second.

I smiled, and pushed my forehead against his. “But I want you to.”

My fingers found the door handle, no problems this time. I pulled it open, and dropped

down against the back seat of his Jeep Wrangler.

He was on top of me before I had a chance to catch my breath. My hands found his chest

and the soft tuft of hair right below his belly button. He tried to look suave as he took off his

shirt—but his right arm got stuck, and he almost fell off the seat.

I laughed. “Now who’s the one who had too much to drink?”

“I didn’t… I’m fine.”

Fine, my ass. I wasn’t stupid. I saw him taking shots of that silver tequila like it was ice

water.

He pulled the shirt over his head, with way too much difficulty, and threw it on the

passenger seat. He ducked down and ran his tongue along my neck, all the way up to my right

earlobe. It was so warm and comforting. I didn't want him to stop.

When he came up for air, I scooted out from under him and switched places. I sat on his

chest, reached back, and grabbed hold of his belt.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked, with a knowing grin.

I leaned down and whispered into his ear, “Anything I fucking want.”

I pulled the belt right off, no hiccups, no struggles. I dangled it above his face, and

dropped it to the floor.

Was this supposed to feel daring? James and I had made love before, but never in a car,

never out in the open. I thought I might keep darting my eyes toward the windows, or feel my

heart trying to beat its way out of my chest. Instead, as James brought his hands to my hips,

a wave of relaxation washed over me, like no harm could ever come to us, to what we had

together.

I reached back and pulled his zipper down. He sat up, moved his hands up to my hair. He

stopped, only for a second, and looked into my eyes.

“I love you, Sydney.”

“I love you, too,” I said.

He took off my shirt and kissed me on the mouth, hard, for a full minute. He brushed his

lips against my cheeks, and my chin, then ran his tongue down to my breasts.

I leaned my head back, stared up at the ceiling. “Oh God,” I said. “James...”

“Does that feel good?”

“Oh God, it feels amazing... it feels so—”

Knock knock.
