[Review] Play ~ Kylie Scott

Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller Lick.

Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?

Tif's Review
Play by Kylie Scott was such an easy and funny read. The first book, Lick, was great too but this one was just SUCH a fun read. Mal's humor made me crack up so many times.

This book was much lighter than the first book. It didn't have really deep tones to it but it still gave me a lot of angsty feels too. Though Mal and Anne's relationship started as a "fake" one, it progressed into something serious. I love how they made the progression from fake to real flawlessly. There was not too much drama when it came to that portion of the book.

You may think New Adult means no steam, but this book had a lot of that too!

I'll obviously give this book 5 stars. It's so good I could re-read it!
